The Surf City Police Department has charged two suspects in connection with a first-degree forcible rape, including felony conspiracy and related charges. The suspects, both stationed at Camp Lejeune, are currently in custody.
The suspects are identified as:
Ted Arthur Davis, 23 years old, charged with:
First-Degree Forcible Rape
Felony Conspiracy
Providing Alcohol to a Person Under 21
Rylie Tate Petrosky, 20 years old, charged with:
First-Degree Forcible Rape
Felony Conspiracy
Both suspects were taken into custody without incident and had a bond set at $300,000 secured on September 23rd. This is an isolated case, as the suspects were known to the victim. There is no ongoing threat to the public.
The victim, in this case, is receiving support through a Victim’s Advocate.

Our department, in partnership with other law enforcement agencies, worked swiftly to conduct a thorough investigation, bring appropriate charges, and ensure the safety of our community.”
