The Coastal Pender Rotary Club was awarded a $2,000 a Rotary International Diversity-Equity-Inclusion (DEI) grant to purchase materials to construct a storage facility for the Edgecomb Summer Reading Program that meets in the Eastern Pender Progressive Center, Edgecomb. The summer reading program has outgrown its storage space within the Edgecomb Community Center and can no longer accommodate the additional materials — a separate shed was deemed most efficient.  The East Pender Progressive Center oversees the Edgecomb Community Center and the Edgecomb Summer Reading program that serves elementary-age children from the local area.

A check is presented for the cost of the storage shed at the Edgecomb Community Center for the Summer Reading program.
