Pender County is unveiling its draft Imagine Pender 2050 Comprehensive Land Use Plan and invites residents to get involved during the second Community Engagement Window (CEW #2), which runs April 28 through June 6, 2025. The first community meeting will take place at the Hampstead Annex Auditorium (15060 Hwy 17, Hampstead) on Monday, April 28 from 5 to 8 p.m.

The draft plan outlines goals, strategies for responsible growth and conservation, and a Future Land Use Map that will guide development through 2050. The plan, as well as a public input survey, will be available starting April 28—not before.

You can share your input online at PenderCountyNC.gov/Imagine between April 28 and June 6.

The County encourages residents to attend one of several open house style community meetings for a self-guided review of the draft plan. Each session will offer the same materials and engagement activities.
