At the Pender County Board of Commissioners meeting on October 7, the board selected Commissioner Jerry Groves to serve on the Board of Directors for the Lower Cape Fear Water and Sewer Authority. Commissioner Groves will replace Vice-Chairwoman Jackie Newton, who will vacate the position in December.

Commissioner Groves will assume the position upon Vice-Chairwoman Newton's departure, continuing Pender County's involvement in the authority's critical infrastructure decisions.
