Deputies with the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a robbery that took place at a Hubert convenience store early Wednesday morning.

Around 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21, deputies responded to the Beast Mart Gas Station and Convenience Store, located at 566 Sand Ridge Road in Hubert, after receiving a 9-1-1 call of a robbery.

When deputies arrived, the convenience store clerk informed them that an unidentified man rushed into the store, jumped over the counter, and proceeded to take an unknown amount of cash.

Shortly after, the robber left on foot through the front of the store.

After canvassing the area and attempting to track the individual, deputies were unsuccessful in locating the suspect and have turned the case over to detectives.

Detectives are currently working through several leads to identify the suspect.
