The 30 mile wide, hours-long awesome display of neighborhood and municipal fireworks up and down the Hampstead area on July 4 demonstrated the reappearance, even the resurgence, of the silent majority nationwide. Americans were out in public with red-blooded patriotism and outward love of our great country.
These patriots have been quietly, yet restlessly, laying low during the Woke Biden Regime that forced hatred of America down our throats for four long years. The negative Didn't Earn It (DEI) identity politics was intended to divide us into quarreling labeled groups.
Saul Alinsky's playbook, Rules For Radicals, was implemented at all levels of government, academia and media with the Marxist goal to control the population with a divisive narrative that was against our biblical founding, against our national exceptionalism and against our reliance on the nuclear family as the cornerstone of our free republic. The Woke machine broke down under the weight of individual liberty and is unable to recover from the terminal blow delivered by Americans last November 8 and this recent July 4.
The patriotic Americans out in force on Independence Day believe in the words, the symbols and the promises of our founding documents. They believe in the spirit of liberty that allows them to live with the hope of the pursuit of happiness.
Hours of spectacular fireworks, Grand Review parades down Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C. and the re-emergence of the United States as the world leader have given God-fearing citizens across our nation the confidence once again to love America.
We no longer have to hide behind feel-good public policies or meaningless personal pronouns for fear of offending someone at work or in our family. With the return to normal, we are still free to aspire to Dr. Martin Luther King's admonition to judge people on the content of their character and not the color of their skin.
The illuminations on July 4 shed bright colorful lights on the historic goal shared by all Americans. To live quietly, peacefully, patriotically in a country where it's possible for a second generation legal Cuban immigrant to rise to the rank of U.S. Senator and Secretary of State.
Where a high school diploma and a strong biblical marriage allow you to be prosperous enough to send your kids to medical school while improving your standard of living only dreamed about by previous generations. Where differences of opinion can be voiced freely in the public square without fear of military interference or violent retaliation. Where We The People control the government and not the government controlling us.
This is the spirit of America that glowed with every lit fuse on July 4 and the hope that lit the sky with every breath-taking explosion. Families, friends, feasts and fabulous fireworks were a show that so many patriots have waited years to display. Let's continue to loudly celebrate our freedoms on every upcoming holiday.
We are free at last; thank God Almighty we are free at last!
