Voters across the Greater Topsail Area will head to the polls on Tuesday, Nov. 4, to elect mayors and council representatives in four local municipalities.

To help inform voters, the Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism will host four Candidates’ Nights, offering residents the opportunity to hear directly from those seeking public office in Surf City, Topsail Beach, North Topsail Beach, and Holly Ridge.

“The Chamber doesn’t endorse candidates,” said Tammy Proctor, Director of the Greater Topsail Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism. “As representatives of the business community, we work with all elected officials to support our region.”

Candidates’ Nights are scheduled as follows:

  • Surf City – Wednesday, October 2, at Surf City Town Hall

  • North Topsail Beach – Monday, October 7, at North Topsail Beach Town Hall

  • Topsail Beach – Wednesday, October 9, at Topsail Beach Town Hall

  • Holly Ridge – Tuesday, October 15, at the Holly Ridge Community Center

All forums begin at 6:30 p.m. and are expected to conclude by 8:00 p.m. Depending on the number of participating candidates, some events may end earlier.

“Our format is simple and fair,” added Proctor. “Each candidate will be introduced and given equal time to respond to written questions from the public.”
