1) What 3 changes, if any, would you like to see in the community you will be representing over the next four years?

During the next four years I would like to see the completion of our 5 Year Beach Renourishment Action plan. I would like to see continuing efforts to create long term financial plans for other Town projects i.e. infrastructure, etc. I would like to see the communication improve between the community and the BOA.

2) What strategy will you implement to respond to public concerns and criticisms?

I plan to acknowledge and respect the public’s concerns and criticisms. If the communication improves as identified in item 1. I believe we can minimize those issues.

3) How do you plan to measure and evaluate your success in office?

My success will be measured by the completion of our plans and goals as it pertains to the overall success of the BOA as a whole. We need to be a Board and not just a group of individuals.

4) Can you give an example of how you have supported a community project in the past?

I was one of the original members of the Beach Inlet Sound Advisory Committee, BISAC, 3 1/2 years ago and have served as the Chairman for 2.5 years. During that time, we have developed the 5-year Action Plan and a 30 Year Maintenance Plan.

5) What personal or professional experience do you have that makes you qualified to serve your community?

I spent nearly 5 decades in the Building, Development, Real Estate, Industries and served as President of the Board of Realtors and the Home Builders Association in Fayetteville NC. During that time spent in the private sector I had to use the majority of the skills needed to qualify to serve the Town of North Topsail Beach for the next 4 Years.
