CFCC Small Business Center Ranked #1 in North Carolina for Third Consecutive Year

Cape Fear Community College proudly announces that its Small Business Center has been ranked #1 in North Carolina for overall performance for the third year in a row, according to the Small Business Center Performance Allocations. This ranking continues the SBC’s tradition of excellence in supporting local entrepreneurs and small businesses, while driving economic growth in the Cape Fear region.

In fiscal year 2024-2025, the CFCC Small Business Center achieved outstanding results, including:

• 54 new business starts

• 185 jobs created

• 31 jobs supported

• 480 hours of one-on-one business counseling provided

• Facilitated 162 workshops with 3,682 attendees

  The CFCC Small Business Center offers many services to help small businesses start, grow, and thrive. These services include one-on-one business counseling, workshops and seminars, access to market research, and networking opportunities. The Center's efforts have led to the creation and retention of numerous jobs and the successful launch of many new businesses in the area.
